Are we happy at all?

Are we happy
Were we ever happy at all
What are we chasing
Will we ever find peace of mind

Do we keep searching
Should we stop digging down the hole
Will i find comfort
Will i find it hard to ease my soul

I don’t want to live unsatisfied
But I don’t want to keep searching forever
I want to smile to the world
And find a place to feel that i belong

In my haunting memories
The happy days still make me sad
They’re so heavy on my shoulders
Keep bringing me down

The past was full of promises
And you let our future die
And still i wonder
If you ever think of us at all

I force myself to walk
Through this maze of empty streets
With the tears of love and pain
I still can’t wave goodbye
